We will be livestreaming the service at 10:00 a.m. Once recorded, the video will stay on the page and can be accessed at a later time and date if you so choose.
The church office is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-1pm. Pastor Brianne works Monday-Thursday. She is typically at the church during office hours for drop-in conversations, but she is also available outside of office hours for appointments or home visits.
Join us for Worship at 10am and Fellowship at 11am! Each week, we’ll have coffee fellowship at 11am, but stay tuned for additional ways of gathering including mission projects and adult education. We fellowship over coffee, we invite visitors into that fellowship, and we participate in missions together. We hope you will join us as we explore living out our mission together - “Alive in God’s Love and Grace: Welcoming, Worshiping, Serving, Sharing the Journey.”
In this week’s text (1 John 4:7-21), the word love appears almost 30 times, that’s an average of two “loves” in every verse. Last Sunday we talked about love as an action, and this week, 1 John continues with that theme: if we want to abide in God’s love and experience fellowship with God, then we need to love our brothers and sisters and invest in fellowship with one another. Thus, it is through loving one another that we come to know and believe the love of God (1 John 4:16).
How do we love others as God has loved us? Well 1 John 3:13 tells us that God has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us on our Christian journey. Acts 8:26-40 (our other text for this week) tells one such story of the Holy Spirit’s leading in the life of Philip the Evangelist. By following the Spirit, Philip ends up talking with a person he would never expect, leading to the conversion of this Ethiopian and a celebration of fellowship in God’s love.
Join us for worship at 10am this Sunday as we celebrate the great love God has for us! Blessings, Pastor Brianne
